“IKONA" FASHION MAGAZINE
Every woman’s day is full of lots of things – rituals, tasks, meetings and so on, and so on. It is like her purse – even as it might look that there is no system in it, everything is in perfect personal order. And there is always some place left for daily inspiration. This magazine, called “Ikona” (The Icon) by Kitchen Myth Busters (VMG) was made exactly for this reason – to give women desire to find an icon in themselves. The quarterly magazine of up-to-300 pages is designed in a handy format to fit in a purse and to lead a woman everywhere she goes. As the target audience is active women who enjoy city life, a range of subjects is wide as well: new fashion trends, food, lifestyle, children, travelling, art, etc.
As design has to reflect all this feminine world in a single issue, it reminds a diversity which we can find in woman’s purse itself: a lot of fonts, collages, illustration styles and techniques are being used in it. Each segment of the magazine has its own design style which differs from the others, but all of them merge into a balanced entirety. Everytime, every season, the design of “Ikona” becomes more and more matured, purified and enshrined. It’s actually like every woman which improves herself after knowing herself better.
